HOW TO CARE YOUR SHOES ?

Whether your shoes are leather, nubuck or split suede, it is important to take care of them so that they remain in perfect condition. To take care of your leather shoes, it is important to equip yourself with specific products: waterproofing, shoe polish, moisturizing milk... so they will be able to face the weather and all daily aggressions. Before discovering when and how to clean the leather of your shoes, we remind you of the 3 rules to follow when it comes to leather care.

THE 3 GOLDEN RULES

1.

Keep your shoes in a safe place, protected from temperature changes and humidity.

2.

Use shoe trees (or newsprint if that's all you have on hand) to preserve the shape of your valuables.

3.

Protect your shoes regularly with cleaning products that are suitable for them (no, lacquer does not act as a waterproofing agent, etc.)

HOW TO CARE FOR LEATHER SHOES?

Before wearing your leather shoes, it is essential to dust them to prepare the leather for the care you are going to give them. Then clean them with a soft brush and without pressing too hard to remove daily dirt: dust, stains... Finally, finish with a polish to breathe new life into the leather. Be careful, choose a polish of the same color as your shoes or a natural translucent polish otherwise you risk ending up with a dual-tasting shoe.

HOW TO CARE FOR VELVET SPLIT SHOES?

The suede leather shoes are designed with the flesh side of the original leather, which gives them this supple and soft aspect to the touch. Delicate, suede leather does not like rain or any other situation likely to stain it. To know how to take good care of your suede shoes, read the following. Dust them with a crepe brush, insisting on the areas where the stains are in order to make them disappear. Choose a colorless waterproofing spray and spray it evenly on your leather shoes. Keep a distance of 20 cm between the spray and your shoes. Repeat this step regularly to ensure continued protection.
